The Directors
Robert Bennetts B Sc., AFPA, AIMM, CFP.
Mr Bennetts has been involved in the financial planning industry since 1985.
His role as CEO of the PIH group of companies involves developing training
programs and business strategies to enable accounting firms to enter the
financial planning area. Robbie is responsible for the day to day operations
of Professional Investment Holdings. Robbie has presented at many industry
and accountants conferences in Australia and overseas.
Stephen Murphy B.Com - Chairman
The Chairman of Professional Investment Services Pty Ltd since its inception,
Stephen is a Chartered Accountant who has operated his own practice since 1991.
Stephen is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Fellow of the
Taxation Institution of Australia. He has a long-standing association with Rotary,
including being a Past President. Stephen is also involved in sporting clubs and
is a current member of the Royal Queensland Golf Club. Professionally, he has a
strong interest in small to medium enterprises and family businesses.
Chief Operating Officer-PIS/Managing Director-ALCo

Paul Forbes joined Professional Investment Services (PIS) in 2005 from
Asteron where he held the position of General Manager of Distribution
for Guardian Financial Planning and Cameron Walshe.
Paul is both Chief Operating Officer of PIS and Managing Director of Australian Loan Company (ALCo), the mortgage aggregation subsidiary company of the PIS Group. Paul is responsible for operations within Australia including distribution, compliance, information systems and license services, as well as supporting PIS' relationship with strategic partners and professional bodies.
As part of the PIS Executive Committee, Paul focuses on the continued expansion of the network and the delivery of services to all members. Paul has 21 years experience in the financial services industry.
Mario Defrancesco FPNA, FTIA, AFPA, Dip FAdv, SIA(Aff), MAICD
(Non-Executive Director)
Mario has approximately 25 years experience in accounting, company management, and financial planning and securities disciplines. He is a public accountant and a registered tax agent. He holds qualifications in accounting, taxation and financial planning and finance. He is a director of three AFSL holders, and a number of unlisted companies.
Luciano Signore FPNA, FTIA, DipFP, CFP
(Non-Executive Director)
Luciano has approximately 21 years experience in company management, taxation, accounting and financial planning and securities and compliance disciplines. He is a public accountant and a registered tax agent. He is a director of three AFSL holders, and a number of unlisted companies.
Marcus La Vincente LLB, MBA
Marcus has wide experience in business, corporate and commercial matters and has extensively advised government and state-owned bodies on privatisation and outsourcing. In the private sector he advises on mergers and acquisitions, companies and trusts, business restructures and 'workouts'.
Marcus also acts for a number of prominent not for profit organisations providing advice particular to the needs of this significant sector of the economy.
